Robert Jarvis

Robert was born on March 20th 1937 in Hackensack, NJ to Elinor and Jackman Jarvis. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Rosemarie Jarvis, his son Robert Jr, his grandson Robert the 3rd, and his daughter Lisa. Robert also has a step son John Draper (Kelly) and grandsons Bryan and Brendan, as well as a step daughter Danielle Murray (Joseph) and grandchildren Christopher, Caitlyn, and Colin. Robert’s siblings include Lauretta Friedman, Lancy Jarvis, and Tommy Jarvis. He is predeceased by his sister Evelyn as well as another step daughter Nicole Draper. He is also pre-deceased by his brother in law Don Freedman, beloved nephew Richie Freedman and sister in law Terri Jarvis. He passed away on June 11, 2021 after a very long illness with his wife by his side.

Robert retired from the town of Emerson, NJ in 1999. He was avid bowler, roller skater, bingo player, and prankster. He was quick with a joke and greatly enjoyed his time with family, most especially all of his grandchildren. When he wasn’t trying to make somebody laugh he could be found watching a western, an old movie, or the Yankees. He was known by many names, and will be remembered for his laugh, kind manner, appreciative personality, perseverance, and his very courageous fight. When asked how he was doing his famous line would always be “still kicking”.

A private memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date.
