Michael Kiernan

Michael Dennis Kiernan of Pearl River, NY (formerly Woodside, NY), 70, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 2, 2022.  

Michael was loved and cherished by his wife, Cathy, of 46 years. He was a wonderful and dedicated father to his three children, Michael, Brian (Laura), and Kristen (Richie). Being a grandfather to his six adoring grandchildren, Olivia, Paige, Matthew, Kieran, Kayleigh and Connor, was the greatest joy of his life.
 He is survived by his sisters, Maureen and Kathy, his brothers, Kevin, Danny, and John, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Michael is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Theresa, and his brother, Joseph. 

After graduating from St. Agnes High School in Manhattan, Michael served proudly in the United States Army from 1972 to 1974, before beginning his 42-year career at Con Edison. Michael was a sports enthusiast. He was a loyal fan of the Rangers, Mets, and Jets. In his retirement, he greatly enjoyed golfing with family and friends.

Michael was a humble, caring, hard-working man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  

 A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 6th  at St. Aedan R. C. Church in Pearl River. A burial service will take place at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, NY following mass. Visitation will be held at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home on Monday, December 5th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s name to the Lustgarten Foundation.
