Maureen (Duffy) Ward

Maureen Ward (nee Duffy), a longtime resident of Pearl River, NY, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on January 29, 2021. Maureen was born on November 18, 1942 to Patrick and Elizabeth Duffy. She was educated in Bronx, NY and graduated from St. Helena's High School in 1960. On June 1, 1962, she married Peter Ward at St. Helena's church in Bronx, NY. Locally, she was a parishioner of St. Aedan's in Pearl River. For 15 years, Maureen worked as an Executive Assistant for Villafranco Wealth Management in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Maureen will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her smile and her caring nature. She is survived by her husband Peter, her son Michael and his wife Adria, and her son Scott, and his wife Donna. She is also survived by her sister Loretta, brother Patrick, grandchildren Evan, Christopher and Lisa and many nieces and nephews. Special Thanks to the wonderful people from Joe Raso Hospice in New City including Rosemary, Partricia, Liz and all the other caring nurses. Visitation will be held at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, 100 Franklin Avenue, Pearl River, NY on Wednesday, February 3 from 3 pm to 6 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 am on Thursday, February 4 at St. Aedan's Roman Catholic Church, Pearl River, NY.
