Marie Denise (Farrell) Boyle

Marie Denise Boyle of Pearl River, NY, passed away peacefully in New City, NY on September 14, 2021. Marie was born in Manhattan, NY on December 27, 1943 to Daniel and Mary (Fitzpatrick) Farrell. Marie attended Holy Spirit Grammar School and St. Barnabas High School in the Bronx, and Grace Business School. She held various administrative positions throughout her life and retired from the Town of Orangetown in April 2011 to pursue her true passion, spending time with her grandsons. 

On July 26, 1969 Marie married John Daniel Boyle at Holy Spirit Church in the Bronx and they were married until John’s death in 1999. She moved to Pearl River in 1978. Marie will always be remembered for being a devoted mother, daughter, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend. Marie loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed the simple parts of life whether it was sitting under the tree at Nauraushaun swim club with the Shady Ladies, travelling with her friends and family, taking her grandkids to McDonald’s or having a long conversation with a friend.

She is survived by her best friend and daughter, Shannon Boyle, son John Boyle, daughter-in-law Kristen Boyle, her adored grandsons Jack and Ryan Boyle, sister Joan Reynolds and many nieces, nephews and friends.  

Her husband, John Boyle and brothers Danny (Notre Dame Class of 53’), Edward, James and Brian Kenyon Farrell predeceased her.  

Visiting will be held on Friday September 17, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc in Pearl River. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM Saturday September 18, 2021 at St. Aedan R.C. Church in Pearl River.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center Taylor Pavilion, Suite C3 100 Woods Road Valhalla, New York 10595.
