Kevin P Cunningham

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. 

Kevin passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Kevin was born in Lisnamoyle, County Monaghan, Ireland. He emigrated to the USA on 11/24/56. He was married to his wife Kathleen for 60 years. He was an officer of the NYPD for 25 years, retiring in 1990. 

He was also a long standing member of the Monaghan Society and Rockland Irish-American Cultural Center and a life member of the NYPD 10-13 Club. 

Kevin is survived by his loving wife Kathleen; children Anne, Kevin, and Brendan (Georgiana); grandchildren Brianna and Meaghan Cunningham and Lauren Primrose; brothers and sisters Mary, Paddy, Dymphna, Seamus, and Anne. Predeceased by parents Peter and Rose, brothers Barney and Sean, and sister Shelia. 

He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews here in the USA and Ireland. 

Kevin was known as a hard-working, loving, caring person. He was always willing to help people, and he showed his love with his actions. He was proud of his Irish heritage and loved Irish music and dancing, especially the waltz. 

Kevin was very proud to be a US citizen and made this country his own. 

He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, and friends. May he Rest In Peace. 

Visiting will be held Friday April 30, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home 100 Franklin Ave. Pearl River, NY 10965  A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated  9:45 Saturday May 1, 2021 at St. Margaret R.C. Church 115 West Central Ave. Pearl River, NY.
