Josephine Sanguinetti

Josephine Sanguinetti, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 85 in her Nanuet, New York home.Born on June 3, 1938, in the Bronx, NY, Josephine was the daughter of the late Crescenzo  and Fay Cerone Mormile.

She is survived by her son Paul , grandchildren , Joseph , Steven , Lisa, Michael and great grandchild Liliana . Her three sisters, Palmina , Christine , and Laura .

She is predeceased  by her husband Leighton , son Scott .Her brothers Billy and Dominic Her sisters,Lorraine , Bridget , and Margaret .

Josephine's mission in life was her family. She married her late husband, Leighton Sanguinetti, in 1960, and their love story served as an inspiration to all who knew them. They shared a deep connection built on love, trust, and unwavering support. Together, Josephine and Leighton raised two children: Paul and Scott.

Josephine was a devoted  mother, always putting her children's needs above her own. She instilled in them the value of family. Josephine's home was a place filled with laughter, and endless memories. She took great joy in creating memories with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. simply enjoying each other's company around the dinner table on Sundays.

Josephine was adored by her extended family and maintained strong connections with her relatives throughout the years. She was a source of guidance, wisdom, and strength, and her presence will be sorely missed during family gatherings and celebrations.

The loss of Josephine leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her strength, love, and wisdom will forever be remembered. She leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Services will be held Friday September 8th  pm Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home 100 Franklin Ave Pearl River NY. Saturday September 9th, 11:15 AM Mass services will be held at St. Aedan R.C. Church 23 Reld Dr, Pearl River NY.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Josephine's name to Westchester Medical Center Cardiac Unit.
