Joan Rose (Hallinan) Kennedy

Joan Rose Kennedy of Nanuet passed away peacefully on February 21st   2021. Joan was born in Manhattan New York on June 7th 1932 the daughter of John and Helen Hallinan.

Joan attended The Church of St .Paul the Apostle High School on the upper west side of Manhattan and on January 10th 1953 married her childhood sweetheart Robert Kennedy. Joan was a resident of Nanuet for 47 years and a long time employee of the Bank of New York on Central Ave. in Pearl River.

Joan is survived by her loving husband Robert Kennedy, son Kenneth (Mary Alice) Kennedy, daughter Colleen (Michael) Marino and son Brian (Dympna) Kennedy. Joan loved spending time with her Grand children, Tara, Dan, Kerry, Jessica, Courtney, Michael, Kelly and Ashley as well as great grandchildren, Amy, Matthew, Haley and Quinn.  Joan is also survived by her sister Ellen (Robert) Treacy.

Joan will be long remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family as well as her wonderful sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday at St. Anthony R. C. Church Nanuet, NY. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.
