Jeremiah (“Jerry”) Goulding of Stony Point, New York died peacefully on August 10, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was 82.
Jerry was born on November 27, 1937 to Michael and Julia Goulding of Cork, Ireland. He immigrated to the Bronx, New York in the early 1950s, where he worked as a supervisor at Con Edison for 42 years. Locally, he was an active member of the GAA and a regular at Gaelic Park for decades. On October 20, 1962, he married Ellen Patricia (“Pat”) Goulding and together they had three daughters.
Jerry will be remembered for being a proud father and grandfather who was everyone’s #1 supporter. He is survived by his three daughters, Ellen Coughlan, Sheila Goulding, and Geraldine Daly; son-in-law, Michael Daly; ten grandchildren, Stephanie, James, Christopher, Emma, Sean, Michael, Kasey, Matthew, Brian, and Julia; and brothers, Denis, Cornelius, Timothy, Michael, and Daniel. He is predeceased by his mother, father, wife, and son-in-law, Noel Coughlan.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Thursday at St. Margaret R. C. Church, Pearl River, NY. Burial will follow at Cemetery of the Ascension, Airmont, NY. Visiting is Wednesday August 12th, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
