Jean M Ketchell

Jean M. Ketchell, a resident of Pearl River, NY for 57 years, was called home to our Lord on September 20, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born on May 15, 1936, to Thomas and Florence (Hoagland) Martin of Park Ridge, NJ. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, William Ketchell, and her beloved grandson of 32 years, Sean Matthew Mulligan.

Jean loved spending time with her entire family and wide circle of cherished friends. Her strong faith and positive morals were evident her entire life.  Her bright smile and kind heart touched the lives of many.

Jean is survived by her brother, Rev. John B. Martin (Jack), of Caldwell, NJ., her 7 loving children and their spouses:  Deborah Jean (Darrell Pozarnsky), Susan Mulligan, William Jr (Lise), Margaret (Robert McCann), Thomas Martin (Maria), Mary (Steven King), and Sharon (Mark Terzakis), as well as her 27 loving grandchildren:  Jamie ( Robert Brewer), Joshua Martin (Jennifer), Jeffrey (Elizabeth), Joseph, Dylan, Jarrod (Brenda), and Paul (Sarah); Kerry Jean (Scott Kewer) and Kimberly (James Margetis),  William III (Amy), Tim, Elizabeth, John, Sarah Jean (Josh Taylor), and Laura; Derrick (Kimberly) and Robert (Nicole); Samantha (John Maloney) and Kaitlyn; Tyler, Victoria Jean, Stephanie, and Austin; Alec, Becka, Terry, and Ketchell Martin, and her 26 beloved great-grandchildren:  Orion, Layla, Antony, Xanthius, Robert, Vera, Maya Jean, Evan, Lena, Lilith, Zed, and August; James and Riley Jean; Brooke, Hailey, Oliver, Ophelia, and James; Derrick, Wyatt, Emma Jean, James, and Benjamin; Raelyn and Maddox.

 Visiting will be on Sunday, September 24, from 2:00-6:00 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday September 25, at 10AM, at St. Margaret's Church, Pearl River, NY.  Burial will follow at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY.
