Jim Brothers, longtime former resident of Nanuet NY, sadly passed away on August 12, 2022, at home. He was 63. Jim worked as a dispatcher for One Call Motor Freight in Kearny NJ. He was with the company for 30 years before retiring in 2009. He was a member of Pearl River Elks Club and Rockland County Dart Association in Pearl River and Nanuet for many years.
Jim was born on September 19, 1958, in Bronx, NY to James J Brothers II and Frances Wilantewicz. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, who was loved by all. He graduated from Pearl River High School in 1976. Jim lived in Valley Cottage for the past 6 years. Prior to that he lived in Nanuet, NY from 1988 to 2013.
Jim will be remembered for his unconditional love and adoration for his family and friends, his humor, kind heart, undying love for the NY Yankees, his love of fishing and playing darts.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Marianne; His 2 daughters, Keri and son in law Michael Sherman, daughter Katie and fiancé Larry Cosenza, son Jimmy and daughter in law Hillary; granddaughter, Madison (2 years). Jim is survived by his sister, Lisa (husband Joe Maggio), brother, Brian (wife Dodie), sisters Maureen and Marion. Mother and Father in law, Joan and Jim Curtin as well as many wonderful sister/brother in Iaws, nieces and nephews.
He is pre-deceased by his mother and father, Frances (1994) and Jim (2004) as well as his sister Denise (2001).
In lieu of flowers, friends may send memorial donations in Jim’s name to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
