Diane Amanda Failing

Diane A. Failing  of Pearl River, NY a lifelong Rockland County resident, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

She was born June 28, 1948 in Nyack, NY to Amiel and Mary (Witherell) D’Auria. Diane was educated in Nyack and graduated from  Nyack High School.

Diane worked for many years for the Pearl River School District in the Evans Park School and retired from the Ramapo Housing Authority.

Diane married the love of her life, John on December 14, 1968.  They spent over 51 years together.

She is survived by her loving father, Amiel D’Auria;  devoted husband, John;  four wonderful children, Chris (Jaime) Failing, Shawn (Robyn) Failing, Amy (Steve) Froio and Amanda O’Malley and eleven grandchildren, Jack, Luke and Lila Failing; Jake, Kyle and Faith Failing; Dylan, Diana and Derek Froio and Ryan and Jack O’Malley. She is predeceased by her mother, Mary.

Her whole life was the love for her family.  Diane’s fondest memories were her Friday night family dinners, her over the top Christmas traditions and the love for her grandchildren. 

She would like to thank her friends who helped her through this journey, Annie S, Helene M., Joan M., Helen K, Geri F.and Mary Kelly.

Visiting is Sunday March 15, 2020 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.  

In lieu of flowers donations may be make to HIgh Tor Animal Shelter or Valley Hospital Hospice.
