Delvina Costanza Obituary

Delvina “Nina” Costanza, a longtime resident of Pearl River, NY,  died on November 8, 2021
at Nyack Hospital, Nyack, NY.   She was 102 years old. 
Mrs. Delvina Costanza worked as seamstress and a homemaker. She also worked at Swivelier Corporation in Nanuet, NY for over ten years before retiring.
Delvina was born March 13, 1919 in Bronx, NY  to Anthony Baglioni and Theresa Pepperini .Baglioni 
She graduated from the Bronx High School, in June 1938.
On October 27, 1945 Delvina married John Christopher Costanza at The Church of the Immaculate Conception on Gun Hill Road, Bronx, NY.
Mrs. Costanza lived in Pearl River for the past 66 years, from 1955 to 2021. Before that she lived in Bronx, New York from 1919 to 1955.
Locally she was a member of St. Aedan R. C. Church. There she was an active member of the Quilt and Craft Club. 
Mrs. Delvina Costanza was also a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program New York Assembly and received a Certificate of Merit for her participation. She volunteered for “Meals on Wheels.”
Delvina was a loving and kind wife, mother, and grandmother. She was welcoming and friendly to all she met. “Nina” as she was known to family and friends, was a skilled seamstress and avid knitter. She was an incredible cook sharing her Italian dishes at family gatherings and holidays.
Her kindness and generosity extended to all she knew. 
She is survived by her daughter Diane Vetter and son in law Gary Vetter of Sidney Center, NY.,
her daughter Lorraine Entwistle of Nanuet, her son Christopher Costanza and his wife Sara of Moultonborough, New Hampshire, as well as 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. 
Family members who died earlier include her husband John Christopher Costanza, who predeceased her in 1988.
A Mass of Christian burial is 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at St. Aedan  R. C. Church, Pearl River.  Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
