Barbara A Murphy

Barbara A. Murphy of Pearl River, NY passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at home surrounded by her family, She was 90. 
Mrs. Murphy was a Registered Nurse for Westchester Medical Center and Nyack Hospital before retiring in 1992.
Barbara was born December 30, 1930 in New York City to Ferdinand and Alice (Riley) Meyer. She graduated from St. Barnabas High School in Yonkers, NY in 1948 and earned her nursing degree from Dominican College in 1976.  
On September 30, 1951 she married Edward T. Murphy at St. Barnabas R. C. Church in Woodlawn, NY.  
Barbara lived in Blauvelt, NY from 1955 to 1966 and in Pearl River from 1966 to 1993. She and her husband, Edward moved to Spring Hill, FL and returned to Pearl River in 2009.
She will be remembered for being a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. 
She is survived by her sons, Keith and wife, Nancy,  Dan and wife, Kate, and Kevin and wife, Mary; daughter, Tara and husband, John Pitsenberger and eleven grandchildren, Kerry, Shawn, Danny, Brian, Kyle, Kevin, Meghan, Shannon, Billy, Maura and Preston. She is predeceased by her husband Edward T. Murphy (May 3, 2009).  
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Anthony R. C. Church, Nanuet, NY.  Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.  Visiting is Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
