Agnes (Bette) E Fay

Bette to her friends, passed away on Friday, August 20th after living at Northern Manor Nursing Home in Nanuet for six and a half years - she was 102 years old. She was a graduate of Walton High School in the Bronx and a parishioner of Good Shepherd Church in the Inwood section of Manhattan before moving to Rockland County.  Her great sense of humor and quick wit was enjoyed by everyone.  She loved the music of the 40’s and would sing along knowing all the words. If you needed a prayer she always offered them. She must have had a direct line to St. Anthony who she depended on for many favors - be it a serious request or when she just needed a parking place.  He always came through for her.  Bette cared for her husband Bill during a long illness  She is survived by her daughter Barbara Amlung, her husband Glenn, grandson Brandon, and nieces and nephews in New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 AM Tuesday August 24, 2021 at St. Anthony R.C. Church Nanuet, NY with burial to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.  Visiting will be held Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.  100 Franklin Ave. Pearl River, NY 10965.     
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
