Teresa F O'Sullivan

Teresa Frances O'Sullivan (nee Cullinan) of Blauvelt, NY passed away at home peacefully on January 5th, 2020, surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born on October 11th, 1944 to Denis and Imelda Cullinan in County Clare, Ireland and raised in Tubber, County Galway, Ireland. The 2nd eldest of 6 girls, she emigrated to the United States in 1962, and married her husband, Jim O'Sullivan (County Cork, Ireland) in the Bronx, NY in 1966. In 1979, the family moved to Blauvelt, where they have lived for the past 41 years. 

Teresa was known for her kind heart, strong work ethic and devout dedication to family and lifelong friends. She embraced her heritage, enjoyed Irish set dancing and always opened her home to ​her extended family.   

Teresa is survived by her husband Jim and 4 children, Sharon Leary (Rich), James, Joseph (Maureen) and Kristen McGrory (P.J.). She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren who she absolutely adored: Denis, Michael, James, Thomas, Deirdre, Erin, Claire, Kelly, Fintan, Liam, Mairead, Sophie, Colin and Owen. She will also be remembered lovingly by her five sisters, Maureen, Bridget, Imelda, Chrissy, and Anne, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her parents and her brother Patrick.

Visiting will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 3 PM to 5 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 8, 2020 St. Catharine of Alexandria R.C. Church.  Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.
