Sandra Swanson-Milazzo

Sandra Swanson-Milazzo died on September 17th, 2018 at home. She was 71 years old. Sandra was a lifelong resident of Rockland County and lived in Blauvelt since 1987. She was born on April 11, 1947 in Englewood Hospital, NJ, to Elwood and Dorothy Swanson. She earned a cosmetology license from BOCES, attended classes at RCC, and earned a real estate license. Sandra also volunteered for many years at St. Catherine’s Thrift Shop in Pearl River.

She will be remembered for her strong spirit, her love of books and movies, her cooking and baking skills, her love of dogs, birds, and nature, her extensive knowledge on many subjects, and her love for her grandchildren. Her home and her family were her life. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Milazzo. She is survived by her sister Patricia Swanson; her children: Troy Hamburg, Amber Juelsgaard, Dean Milazzo, Giana Milazzo, Kirsten Perfilio, and Britt Young; her nephew Erik Jackson, her niece, Kristen Fasch, and 13 grandchildren. She will be sorely missed.

A memorial in celebration of her life will be held at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, 100 Franklin Ave, Pearl River, NY, from 3pm to 5 pm on October 13, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Hi-Tor Animal Shelter in Pomona. https://www.hitor.org/
