Patrick Thomas McGovern

Patrick Thomas McGovern of Pearl River, NY passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River, NJ.  He was 43.
Patrick was a police officer for over 19 years with the NYPD 49th Precinct and Bronx Zoo detail.  
Patrick was born February 24, 1976 in Bronx, NY to Peter and Elizabeth (Moloney) McGovern. 
He was a 1990 graduate of St. Margaret School and a 1994 graduate of Pearl River High School. He also earned an Associate degree from Rockland Community College. 
Patrick enjoyed life, family members and many friends.  He was always there to brighten the lives of others. 
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth; brothers, Peter (Wendi) and James (Heather); nieces and nephews, Shannon, Kaitlyn, Megan, Colin and Owen; aunts, Patricia, Molly, Kitty and Marie;  uncles, Eugene, Sean, Dennis and Thomas and extended family and dear friends. He is predeceased by his father, Peter McGovern, uncle, Patrick Moloney and aunt, Eileen Doherty.
 A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:45 AM Monday at St. Margaret R. C. Church, Pearl River.  Burial to follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont,. NY.  Visiting is Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.   
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to NYPD Widow and Orphans Fund or Villa Marie Claire.
