Marilyn Ann Angley,85 of Pearl River, NY passed away at Joe Raso Hospice Residence on September 27th, 2018.
Marilyn worked for the New York Telephone Co and was a teaching assistant for the Pearl River School District before retiring in 1999.
She was a member and volunteer for the All Girls Band in Edgewater Park, NY and served on the ladies auxiliary.
She was a member and chaplain of the PR Senior ”A” Club, parishioner of St. Margaret’s Church for 43 years and volunteer for St. Margaret’s Fife and Drum Corp. She was a member of the Pearl Rivers Woman’s Club and the Red Hat Society.
Marilyn loved being a Mom, spending time with her family, everything green, anything Irish and especially St Patty’s day and March 18th. “Nana” as she was affectionately known by all, loved to attend her grandchildren’s numerous activities. She loved the beach, shopping, traveling, and the NY Yankees.
She is predeceased by her husband Daniel (August 2017), loving mother of Dana Spicer (Fred), Kerry Burnett (Fred), Allison Lawler (Tom); Nana of Sean Spicer (Sara), Heidi Nolan (Walter), Ryan Spicer (Dana), Katelyn Spicer, Courtney and Kelsey Burnett and Christina Lawler and great nana of Shannon, Hailey, Daniel, Kiera and Conor.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 2nd 10:00 am at St. Margaret’s Church, PR. Burial will follow at Frederick Loescher Veterans Cemetery New Hempstead, NY. Visiting is Monday Oct. 1st from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 at Wyman- Fisher Funeral Home.
