Gregory Sullivan of Hartsdale, NY died suddenly on October 20, 2019. A native of Westchester, Greg was born in Yonkers, NY on February 27, 1960 to Maureen and George Sullivan. After graduating from Regis High School, Greg earned his Bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross and later his MBA from SUNY Oswego. Greg, a proud veteran served his country as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. A lifelong accountant he recently assumed the position of Director of Fiscal Operations at SUNY Westchester Community College. An enthusiast of Improv, Greg established and performed in his own troupe, KLAATU, and taught the art of Improv at HB Studios in NYC as well as publishing several books on the subject throughout his life. Greg’s true calling was being a Dad to his daughter, Emily, his “best buddy” who he cherished and adored beyond measure. They shared a love of golf, baseball, and Legos but mainly a love for each other and spending time together having fun and making memories.
Greg is predeceased by his father, George. He is survived by his mother, Maureen; daughter, Emily Kate; sisters, Claire (Jim) Morrissey, Denise (Eddie) Sweeney and his beloved nieces and nephews, Rachel and Brian Morrissey and Sabrina, Jack and Gisele Sweeney.
Greg’s legacy of love, kindness and thoughtfulness will remain with all who had the honor of knowing him.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Friday at St. Aedan R. C. Church, Pearl River, NY. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc., Pearl River.
