James J. Kelly

James J. Kelly formerly of Bronx and Yonkers, NY, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2018, at Abrazo Central Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. He was 54. Mr. Kelly worked in law enforcement.

James was born October, 1963 in Bronx, NY to Patrick and Florence Kelly.

He attended Mount St. Michael High School Bronx, NY and graduated from Lincoln High School Yonkers, NY in 1981. He went on to attend Westchester Community College.

Mr. Kelly will be remembered for his large and loud personality, quick wit and his contagious laughter.

James is survived by his father, Patrick Kelly of Pearl River, NY; sister Patricia Kelly, retired NYPD, Pearl River, NY; uncle and godfather, Mickey Germain of NC; cousins, Brian and RoseAnn Germain of Greenwood Lake, NY; Michael and Laurie Germain of Warwick, NY; Peggy Ann and Stan Dobrinski of Sloatsburg, NY; Theresa and Steve Ruther of MD; and many more cousins and family throughout Rockland County and Long Island, NY. He is predeceased by his mother Florence Kelly (2006); grandmother, Anna Grinker; aunt, Peggy Germain, aunt, Eileen, uncle Ernie, and cousin, Benny Rinaldi, cousin, Denis Germain (2001) and godmother, Fran Lennane.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Aedan R.C. Church Pearl River, NY with burial to follow at Cemetery of the Ascension Airmont, NY. Visiting will be held Friday April 13, 2018 from 3-8 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
